Mary, mother of Jesus is shown in a quiet, contemplative moment, looking upward toward heaven as light gently pours down over her.
My intention with this piece was to show Mary as that place where heaven meets earth, not in a distant or abstract way, but in something very personal and present. Through her openness, something divine feels close to us too.
I hope this drawing invites you to pause and remember that even in our own lives, heaven is not far away. God can meet us in stillness, in our surrender, and in simple moments of prayer.
